Re: Build Thread: Performance e-Golf

Hi all, long time. Sorry for the lack of updates, been a wild year! So when I started really looking for more performance, I decided I had to ditch the 2016 and move up to a 2019. More battery and slightly bigger motor, why start with the smaller motor if I'm looking to go faster. It's also nice hav...

Re: Loud thunk when going from R to P

I've heard this a few times too, definitely alarming, like the car hasn't released the torque of the motor before switching out of gear. It's mostly happened when park on the street in front of my house which is a slight incline. Maybe something to do with an anti roll back feature? a bit of torque ...

Re: Build Thread: Performance e-Golf

Sorry for the lack of replies here guys. Our shop has been pretty stacked and getting my own car worked on is a cobbler's shoes scenario I'm afraid. Springs are here, waiting to go in and the Revozport Aerokit from the E-Trophy cars is on the way. One update on range and performance. If I'm in the r...

Re: 2019 eGolf Prices Paid

Sorry for the ignorant question here, but do any of these massive dealer discounts ($9-11k) exist on the east coast? I’m in NJ Yes, I bought an eGolf at Trend Motors NJ for 24k in July 2019. Interesting. I might have to trade my 2015 so I have a higher powered base for my performance build. Also, c...

Re: Build Thread: Performance e-Golf

I also went with better tires (225) but on 16" rims (Konig Runlight 17.75lbs) and have the H&R springs on the stock shocks. It's a great ride. Good to hear the ride is good, I have the same springs waiting to go in. Do you have pics of you’re car? What kind of impact have you seen on range? Also th...

Re: Build Thread: Performance e-Golf

Did you replace the back seats as well, or just the passenger and driver's seats? Where did you get the seats from? I'd definitely be interested in replacing mine as well :D Just the fronts for now, but I want to do the rears too. Got them off eBay. I was working on a deal to get the rears too, but...

Re: Build Thread: Performance e-Golf

So step 1 and 2 complete. Wheels, tires and seats. First, just want to clarify my goals. I know this is not for everyone and even with my goals clearly states, some will say I'm wasting my money or ruining the car, but I want to cut a few concerns off a the pass. First, I'm hyper sensitive to things...
