I am a proud owner of the 2015 e-golf SEL and i am trying to get some accessories. I am looking into getting some wind deflectors, car mats, etc. I was looking for deflectors for the e golf from weather-tech as i like their products and they dont have any. However when i look under GTI or Golf the same year and 5 door they have them under those models. After reviewing VW site the 2015 golf and the 2 golf have the same part#'s for wind deflectors.

Does anyone know if i could order car mats from any Golf model for the e golf and they will fit fine? Are there any differences in the body? Should i be safe to pursuit the parts from the GTI and Golf?

If this has already been posted please forgive me but i did search and didnt find anything about this.

Thanks,

Bryan

Regular Golf mats will not fit in the front due to battery intrusion into the floor area where the seats mount. Your choices are:

1) OEM cloth, which don't run up the sides
2) OEM all-weather, which don't run up the sides
3) Tuxmat. Great reviews.

The exterior accessories are mostly the same as a regular Golf, except the front bumper.

Just got an email from weather tech - they now have a set of mats specifically for the E-golf. I've used these in other vehicles and they're pretty good.

I went through an adventure recently with floor mats, be careful!

Are the headlights the same shape on the golf and the egolf? Was thinking about getting headlight plastic protector.

Also has anyone bought the VW sun shade pop ins for the rear windows and hatch windows? Are they easy to install? Are they worth it or should I just pay for tint?

I bought these used from a guy who’s 2015 was coming off lease. Very happy with them. I leave my rear windows 1/4 of the way open when I’m at work and come back to a significantly cooler car. They’re a little tricky to install b/c VW instructions are nothing but pictographs. But no tools are needed and you don’t modify anything in the car.

Not sure who would really know, unless they've already tried it. Reason is because the 2015/2016 SEL E-Golfs were the only ones with LED headlights. For all other Golfs, the top of the line were HID headlights.

Great topic since i will be buying most of these if i plan to buy out my lease in july 2019

i will post again once i have purchased and confirm they fit on the egolf

I ended up getting VW euromats for the egolf and they are pretty decent mats.I also bought the weather tech wind deflectors for the same year golf which do fit perfectly. I am thinking about getting the rear window shades but i am looking for information on them but i cant seem to find anyone who has installed them and used them to give more information on if they are worth it and can you leave them up and still drive without an issue.

As for the headlight protectors i wanted to get them however dont know if i should take the risk of them not fitting.
