Has anyone got any insight on this?

2016 has been charging fine for months, now the cable is showing a red light and not charging the car. What could this fault mean?

This is the info on the back of the cable’s in-like box:

And this is what the lights look like:

The lights don’t change at any outlet in the house. Always the same. Reset button does nothing.

Bought the car used from a dealer and the cable came with so not sure what a next step would be.

When you first plug it into a wall socket, does it run through its test phase (as in a flashing green light)? If not, then I think it's broken.

Get the dealership to replace it if you can, otherwise you'll have to fork out some cash to buy a new one. The 124V versions are not that expensive (compare to L2 chargers), around $150-300 online.

I had the red light after it tested itself when I was initially plugging the unit into a socket that wasn't grounded. I live in an older home and I've been slowly upgrading the circuits when I can. I upgraded this socket immediately! :)

HTH,
Jon.
