OK lets get something straight, and head off the usual captain obvious

1. I've read the manual
2. I've read the marketing hype

I have a 2017/18 SEL DAP and it has "Air Care"

Anybody know, just what does Air Care actually do when enabled?

Thanks

Barry

I have the same question. It is disabled in my vehicle and I can't enable it. My assumption is that it is used to flow air through a cabin filter, but I have been unable to locate the cabin filter tray in my vehicle.

I have Google'd for this, found videos that showed the location, but my car does not have the same layout as the example vehicles in the videos I found. I'm starting to think that the SE model does not have a cabin filter as a standard feature, but am wondering if it can be added afterwards by the owner.

Anyone know?

I remember reading somewhere, or maybe it was a WV issued video, that said the vehicle has the ability to cycle the air (rather than pull from outside) when the outside air was at an unhealthy level. I'm not sure if it has a CO or CO2 reader or what. I'm in an SE so I don't have it.

On my 2017 SE I can get to the Air Care page but am not able to make it Active. Haven't had the time to see if there is really a climate filter beyond the refrigerated glovebox.

Thanks, good explanation as to what it does. So, I can find it in my SE's menu... but I can't do anything to activate it. Any ideas?

Following up on this thread.

I took the liberty to swing down the glove box door, and found the tray that holds the air filter. I did not open the tray yet to inspect the filter, but may do so in the near future just to understand how to open it up for replacement.

Interestingly, after I found the location of the air filter, the Air Care function is suddenly available and selectable in my car's menus. It is working now. I do not know what happened before, but the display confirms this feature is now active. Strange.
