Hi all,

I recently got a 2019 e-Golf and ran a full Vcds auto scan. It gave me a faulty pressure sensor 1, tried clearing the error but it returned immediately.

It looks like the ac system has 5 sensors, with Sensor 1 malfunction - see readout in picture, seems like it is only the pressure part:

Is this the G395 sensor and is it a known problem?

Have not heard of this before. Does your car heating and A/C work? If not, what error do you see on the dashboard?
 
The heater (heat pump) seems to work fine (I get hot air blowing and a warm car every morning when I leave my home), but here in Denmark the AC has not been tested yet - too cold. Nothing is showing up on dashboard.

It seems to be the sensor just after the compressor:

Interesting. I wonder if the heat is being only provided by the PTC as I suspect that pressure sensor is required for the heat pump to work whether in a cooling cycle or heating cycle. I hope it is easy to replace.
 
I wonder what the result of this was?

My heat pump stopped working last week, It goes to the dealer on Tuesday.
According to VCDS, sensor 1,2,4 have all failed. I find it a bit unlikely that they all died simultaneously.

So I hope the techs have had their training - otherwise this could easily turn into a shit show

I wish i knew where these sensors are located, and had a wiring diagram.
 
After some new reading I see this in the self study guide
Failure Effects
If one or more sensors fail, the refrigerant pressure and the refrigerant temperature are determined using a map. The heating up phase for the vehicle interior is increased and an entry is made in the event memory

Other components mention shutting down of the system. So according to the SSG, the failed sensors should not shut down the system …hmmmm
