Same problem in my new e-Golf I just picked up yesterday. Always starts out ok, but every once in a while, when slowing down into e-sound speed (it's off above 18(?) mph), I see the fault, and sure enough, no grrr-rumble-rumble e-sound. We'll see tomorrow what the dealer says. Sigh
