It's a legally mandated feature, so it would be surprising if it's not present. There's a fault light for it and all. So your vehicle is totally silent around 10mph, no sound from the engine compartment (right wheel well, to be precise) at all? I'm envious.

If you use an OBD tool like OBDeleven you can get that information from the battery control module. Probably not worth the effort, though.

2017+ has bigger battery, so more range. If the range on the 15 and 16 meets your needs there's no reason not to buy one at the right price.
