Ontario, Canada. Volks dealerships are inconsistent

So after being told back in November that I'd have my e-golf in June, with delivery being then pushed back to "2019 not sure what month", I closed on a Hyundai Ioniq today at $1200 under MSRP.

    Huge delays

Dealer told me. Think I should look into it through VW Canada?

    Huge delays

Put a deposit down in November 2017 and was told June 2018 for delivery. Was informed today that delivery would be not until 2019 and they couldn't even give me a month for 2019. What a mess, I don't necessarily blame the dealer, I'm sure they would love to make money and sell me a car.

Is it the end of the road for the E-golf ?

Its not the dealers guy, you don't think they would sell you a car if they could. Just a limited supply.

Is it the end of the road for the E-golf ?

My thoughts: E-Golf was always a temporary solution for VW while they prepare for their hard core launch of ev's. So yes, I think the e-golf will not be produced within the next few years.

I hear ya, however the total sales price is all that matters. It's under MSRP + mandatory fees so I felt the price was fair for both parties.

Alright folks, I just put my deposit down. Expected delivery is June 2018. Here is my info: 2018 E-Golf Comfortline (ie. no options) Base Price: $36,355.00 (this is the new base price for 2018's, up by $360 from the 2017's, the 2018's come standard with the leatherette seating, this is the...

Ontario, Canada. Volks dealerships are inconsistent

As well as competition among VW dealer to VW dealer, not to mention the fact that they can't even tell you a decent ball park time frame on when you can expect to receive your car. Combine all that with their diesel blowup in recent year!

Drivers window, Center steering, Clock setting

Did you completely drain the battery? I know that in ICE cars, when the batter dies, the power windows need to be "reset". Owners manual may give you the steps. Not sure what you mean by centre steering.

    Traction in Snow

Thanks. That's a pretty general statement. Have you driven one of the new E-Golfs on a regular basis in the snow? I'm sure they don't have better traction than Subaru's with AWD? Are you saying that the VW E-Golf has better traction that any other FWD ICE compact car given each have the same...

    Traction in Snow

Hello Folks, Seriously considering getting an E-Golf here in Ottawa, Ontario, Canada. My main concern deals with winter driving. I've read lots of info but most deals with batter life in winter conditions. I'm more concerned with traction in snow. Obviously I would get winter tires, but...
