I've never gashed a sidewall myself, but have towed in a few who did. One backed over a swinging steel gate anchor, two were the result of vandalism, one hit some scrap steel that fell off a truck.

Is there any reason you couldn't keep a space saver spare tire under your rear hatch area? I have the ss spare from my 2017 Golf Alltrack, and it is a T125/70-18, which is the exact same diameter as the 205/55-16 tires on the eGolf. Is the floor of the hatch area (under the removable cover)...

I am thinking about whether I will put winter tires on my 2016 eGolf this coming season. Stock rims are 6.5jx16 5x112 ET46, but I have a set of new rims for a 2013 Tiguan which are 6.5jx16 5x112 ET33. Can I use them?

Are you saying that charging to full SOC in an eGolf is not really charging to 100% of the battery's capacity? The Tesla battery in the b250e is really 36kw, but they claim 28kw, because the computer limits charging to that amount, unless you push the bypass button, so charging to 'full' is...

Thanks, I'll try that! If I do that, then want to recharge later in the day after running errands and push the 'charge now' button, will it charge to 100% if left hooked up, or will it continue to limit charging to 80%?
