    Scheduled charge overrun

My situation allows 95% of my charging on L1.

    Scheduled charge overrun

2019 SE - When running a scheduled charge program, I find the actual time to run from 1/2 to 1 hour longer than the time originally set. If I also include heating while on charge, heating stops more or less according to the correct set time. Seems like odd behavior. Anyone else notice something...

    Tires

I find the Ecopia tires perfectly fine in wet and even limited snow conditions IF driven carefully and conservatively. And if driving in limited snow and even icy conditions, I find the security of the regen modes for slowing and stopping more confidence inducing than driving my Alltrack...

    Fun experiment

Average speed was 33 mph. I'm so impressed with this car! I wish I had a better handle on state of charge at any given time, but I guess the best we're given is the combination of the bar illustration and the "fuel" meter.

    Fun experiment

Wanting to test some limits of my new 2019 SE, I drove from my house at 5,238 ft. to 12,183, an obvious gain of 6,945 ft. Temperature during the 1 hr 50 minute/63 mile trip varied from 84 to 47 degrees. I was alone and did not need to use AC. I began the trip at 100% charge with the GOM showing...

2019 egolf range in real life?

I only have about 700 miles on my 2019 SE, but the one time I've charged to 100% the GOM displayed 208 miles. I normally charge to 80% and show about 160+ miles. I pretty much have what I think is the perfect situation for maximizing mileage - mild weather and suburban driving at less than 50...

    2019 Manual - Charging Recommendation

My use of the 2019 e-Golf is similar... roughly 16 or so miles round trip two or three times a week. I simply use the standard 110 connector that came with the car. I only have about a half-dozen charges so far, but I'm comfortable with a max setting of 80% and allow the charge to deplete to...

    Really dumb question about charging

There seem to be a couple of different ways of accomplishing my charging needs. For now I have it set at 80/80 and that's working out quite well.

    New eGolf charger error

Yes, I do have a 240 near but not quite close enough. I'm sure I'll succumb and extend the wiring and buy a 240 charger at some point. For now the 110 serves me just fine. Thanks for all your helpful responses.

    New eGolf charger error

Unfortunately my Delphi is only 10 amp.

    Really dumb question about charging

Thanks, yes, I see your logic. Actually I'm not sure it makes much difference in my situation where I set the minimum. Since I don't drive at any set time of day or even every day, I'm mostly interested in having the battery at 80% whenever my next drive takes place. Perhaps, as someone said, I...

    New eGolf charger error

I can't tell what brand of charger is shown in the video above. I do know that my new charger is totally different - white/beige with 4 stacked lights (Power, Charging, Temperature, Fault). The brand is Delphi Generation II. My SE was manufactured in April 2019 and purchased in Los Angeles. Is...

    Really dumb question about charging

I appreciate all the responses here to an exploration of my charging options. Here's what I've found works for me so far: 1. Because I want to charge only to 80% for battery longevity, it seems I must use the schedule option. Doesn't look like it's possible to set maximum charge without setting...

    Really dumb question about charging

Time-of-use-billing is not available here, so as suggested I think setting the timer to cover every day of the week makes the most sense. If I set the max charge for 80%, what is the best setting for MINIMUM charge? I think the factory setting is 30%.

    Really dumb question about charging

Another total newbie ev owner here - 2019 SE. Trying to wrap my head around the charging options. For the time being, I'll average less than 100 miles per week, so no need in my mind to use anything but the standard Delphi 10 amp charger that came with the car. I'd love a bit of advice for...

    Colorado e-golfs?

Exploring the possibilities as well. I was told by Gebhardt VW in Boulder that they do service e-golfs. I assume that means they must have a certified technician on staff but don't know that for a fact. The only way to purchase a new e-golf as a Colorado resident is if you also have a...
