    SoCal VW e-golf SEL lease

I leased mine from Norm Reeves VW in Irvine, CA for $249 per month (or $269 after taxes) and $2495 down, out-the-door (first month, taxes, etc), 10k miles a year. They've been running this special for the last few months here - http://www.normreevesvw.com/new-car-specials/ They say it is...

To maintenance contract or not, that is the question...

I'm not sure what the cost is individually for the 20K and 30K but was told that they are around $450 each when I was being pressured by the Finance Manager to buy the pre-paid maintenance. He said "this is an expensive car to maintain". I basically called BS and declined it. When I...

NorCal e-Golf SEL Lease, should I do it?

Looks like an a-ok deal. As miimura noted, inventories are very healthy from a buyer perspective so I wouldn't worry about not getting a good deal in July either. If I were in your shoes I'd probably wait to be in my house to have access to reliable charging unless there are chargers...

Picking up my new e-golf tomorrow

Interesting Hetz.. i was amazed at how and why VW would include the VERY old iPhone connector in a brand new technologically advanced car. I'll call corporate as well to see if I can get one thrown in too. Good tip!

Leased my LE Edition Yesterday - NorCal

Looks like a solid deal. Factor in gas savings and the deal gets even better! This was my first time leasing a car and felt pressured to get the wear and tear but declined all the extra monthly charges. We'll see if that was wise or not. I figure MAACO will paint a bumper or a door for $175...

    Mitsu i-MiEV

I just got an e-Golf as well and loving it... The e-Golf is primarily for my wife. I am keeping a close eye on the used car market for a 2nd EV and have been watching for a Leaf or possibly an i-Miev. Really hoping to see used prices drop further on the Leafs when the new model comes out.

Should I plan on a Level 2 charger?

Level 1 charger should be just fine for your limited daily mileage.

EVGo Quick/DC charging problems on eGolf

I was planning on possibly charging at an NRG EVGo today so this is good to know. I'll probably still give it a try and report back. Yesterday, I pulled up to an "EV pump" fast charger from BTCPower that has a SAE Combo to try my hand at my first fast charge. Well, i got the same "Unable to...

Leasing Golf - was told expensive Maintenance is required

I was just about to post on here about this as I was told the exact same thing!! They pressured to purchase the extended maintenance plan to cover the 20k and 30k maintenance items because e-Golfs are "really expensive to maintain" per the finance guy. It is called the "Volkswagen Care Plan"...
