Vehicle only charging to 83-86mi. Was getting 100+

Thanks for the replies. The dial gauge did show full. My average consumption lately was quite a bit lower then for the past 6 months or so. I took my normal drive only paying attention to the dial and I had plenty of range. Lesson learned, stop paying attention to the range guess. Thanks again.

Vehicle only charging to 83-86mi. Was getting 100+

From day one, no matter what charger I used whether it was the 110 that came with the car or the 220 that I installed I never received a charge that was less then 100mi of range. On average I'd say it would hit around 106-110 pretty consistently. I can't think of anything that has changed but...

JuiceBox 40 Pro does everything CP Home does for $200 less.

Got my JuiceBox 40 Pro hooked up and have confirmed that the timer on the app is working just fine. Plug the car in and the timer is able to wake and charge the car when I've asked it to. Don't need to use car-net or time of departure settings anymore. The app monitors and logs all of your...

    Car-net and delayed charging

I emailed emotorwerks and explained that I wanted to return the charger given that the timer functionality didn't work and this was their response; "We have since fixed this problem, and that fix should be applied on your unit, based on the version / ship date." I only just received the unit...

    Car-net and delayed charging

I'd love to see further confirmation that the CP unit's timer works because I haven't installed my JuiceBox yet and will return it as this would justify the price difference.

Tech question about the necessity of an evse.

Thanks for the answer. From what I've read and might soon find out with the arrival of my JuiceBox 40Pro, the eGolf doesn't seem to work with evse charge timers. One of the EVSE companies even responded to say that VW needs to put out a firmware update to fix it.

ChargePoint Home is now available to order

If I was putting the unit inside my garage I would have leaned more towards aesthetics but on the outside that pretty CP Home unit just doesn't look like it'll hold up in the elements as well as the plain-jane metal box. Plus, I still think $200 is too much to pay just for looks. From what I...

Tech question about the necessity of an evse.

Howdy. I'll be up front and just say I don't know how much of this technology works and my question will do nothing to hide that fact especially if the answer if obvious to anyone who does understand it. Anyway; It's my understanding that the vehicle has a converter and charger built in which...

ChargePoint Home is now available to order

Price is ultimately why I went with the Juicebox. Although the CP Home unit is clearly sharper looking you can have the JB40 with wifi for nearly $200 cheaper then the CP Home.

    JuiceBox 40 install

I also pointed out that their webpage mentions in a few places that it's supposed to come with a 25' cord but now it's actually offered with a 20' one and they took off another $30 so the cost before tax was $519. Not bad for a 40 amp charger with wifi.

    JuiceBox 40 install

Images don't seem to be working although I'd like to see how the install came out as I'm about to install the same charger myself.

    JuiceBox Green

Thanks for the reply. I'm going to not go with the green model. Seems to only have an effect if you allow it to control when it's charging but with my tiered rate plan I'll always only be charging after 11pm during the week so the effect is null.

    Features I'd like;

I'd like to be able to lock my doors and roll the windows up and down with the app. Hate when I check in to see how my charge is going before going to bed only for it to tell me that I've left a window or 4 down. That's greats thanks for the info, now how about rolling them up for me? Ditto...
