    Battery degradation

About 30,500 miles on my 2015 SEL. Still shows 109 miles on the Guess -O Meter when fully charged. Showed 129 miles on the Guess O Meter when brand new in October, 2015. I guess I didn't abuse it enough. I suspect that you'll be getting a remanufactured battery from the motherland...

    What’s a “good” miles/kWh?

The 2017, 2018 and 2019 do not seem to be capable of the miles per kwh that the 2015 and 2016 versions get, due to the more powerful motor, being less efficient at slower speeds. I have test driven the 2017, 2018 and 2019 models, and i struggled to get much better than 5.4 or 5.5 miles per kwh...

Lose 1/8th charge after about a day from full charge, without driving.

Either drive the car 3 or 4 miles after a full charge, or don't charge fully, unless you plan to use the top portion of the charge, shortly after the charging is complete. This is more for charging at mobile locations, not for fully recharging at home. I sometimes lose one tick mark on my...

FS: 2016 e-Golf SE, 31k miles, lowered on good wheels/tires (NorCal PRICE LOWERED!)

Good luck with your sale. That's really low mileage for the age. It should sell quick.

    Help with Battery/Range Degradation

Agreed, wholeheartedly on Car-Net. Stupid amount of money for nothing at all.

    Tips for securely slow charging?

The 2015 models came with a EVSE charger that will pull 13.3 amps. Please, at a minimum, use an extension cord, if 25 feet or less, of 12 gauge, 20 amp capable wire. If 50 feet or longer, use an extension cord of at least 10 gauge wire. If the plugs or extension cord are getting warm or hot...

    "Inspection Now"

Do a search on YouTube. I'm sure you'll find a demonstration there for a 2016.

    Speed governor

The problem is you, not the limiter on the car. You adapt to the cars, the car doesn't adapt to you. The VW engineers took mediocrity into account in the design. They build it for the least common denominator dim witted "can't fix stupid" driver out there, and dumb it down to that level. But...

    Speed governor

If it's a problem, you should have bought a Tesla model S with Ludicrous Mode, instead.

Replacing the factory default infotainment in a 2016 eGolf

Probably not worth the effort, unless you are a VW Guru or nut with the skills and a Ross TEch cable and software package to get the coding right. Otherwise, buy something else with an entertainment system that you already like.

    charging port cover

Stonefly or Caddis, I charge in a garage or Man Cave, so there's already a means of keeping crap out of the charge port. But that does look like a good find for those in wet or frozen charging environments. Don't make people ask, just post up the link, as long as you have no association...

    Charging problem

Sorry you are unable to get satisfactory results with your JuiceBox. I've been running mine since November of 2015 with my 2015 SEL e-Golf with zero problems. It's rare to every hear problems about JuiceBox EVSE units, many new e-Golf owners run them successfully. Somehow, with all the...

Charger will not release from charging port 2019 egolf

Pulling hard on the charger handle is the worst thing you can do when it's stuck. Rather, push hard inwards on the charger handle to provide some slack and tolerance for the pin to release, while pressing locking and then unlocking buttons on the Key Fob. Keep the charge port CLEAN and dust...

I might consider some performance tires upgrades for my Ecopias, provided they provide more miles per kWh than the stock tires.

    Electrical system failure: Stop!

Oxnard is their R&D department. What will probably happen is they will fly out a team of 2 specialists that will drop your battery, do the R&R and reinstall at your local dealership They will probably need to coordinate with VW's parts supply warehouse in Ontario, CA to ship and have on hand...

    New 2016 e Golf owner - questions!

I suggest you go to a VW dealership to learn more about your car. See if they show you how to read your Owner's Manual. Unless you are a wizard with VCDS, installing cruise control is probably not possible for you to do.

    Electrical system failure: Stop!

So, if you know what's wrong with it, tell us what it is? You obviously know how poor the diagnosis skills and workmanship is at VW dealerships, compared to level of quality on a factory built VW that hasn't been tampered with. I know, I get it about VW's and Audi's too, nothing is as good as...

it's spring 2020...where are the SEs??

The 2019 SEL with all the bells and whistles isn't worth that much, not to me, not with a 35.6kWh battery and limited range. Not with Tesla 3's for sale. Grossly overpriced for what you get.

You do know VW puts a black box in every one of their vehicles. Pretty much logs everything you do, parameter wise.
