Re: PSA: CAR NET shutdown MY19 and earlier

this is definitely a bummer. Can anyone verify whether traffic alerts via XM Radio will still work properly? Assuming like radio it comes via satellite broadcast not 3G cell service, right?

Re: Charging Station POI Database inop?

f1Geek, tried it to no avail. Still "0 Locations found." Very odd, since all the parking lots and restaurants (>100) still appear in the POI database. Is yours working? (just the Charging location POIs) - Thks, S.

Charging Station POI Database inop?

Last week, in a race to get home without going <0 miles on the guess-o-meter, I needed to find the closest station, closer than the Level 3 that I knew from memory. But, alas, the POI database now lists "0" for Charging Stations. Does anyone have this experience lately, that the POIs are zero'd out ...

Ambiguous on 10K service

My monthly VW vehicle health report from Volkswagen is telling me the first service is due at 20,000 miles. The VW Manual addendum and other sources say 10K is the first time for Service. What is the correct first service point? Thanks.

Re: Bolt vs Golf

I can't speak for the Bolt, but in August had a 2016 SEL shipped from CA to VA. I have been impressed with the solid doors, quiet cabin, and amazing technology, both inside and out. Fit & finish are everything I would expect from German engineering; every door has a good "thunk" and at speed the car...

Re: Leftover 2016 e-Golf SELs

Sorry, I'm in CT. So am looking to all the east coast compliance states - Maine, Vermont, Massachusetts, Connecticut, Rhode Island , New York, New Jersey and Maryland. I have been looking on my own but isn't the purpose of the forums to save time and help each other out? dad488, I am in Virginia, a...

Re: 2018 e-Golf to be sold Nationwide in USA

I just got a note from my SoCal dealer that the 2017's are arriving in 14 days. Yep, VW will continue to deal with the e-Golf as a compliance car in the 9 ZEV states; this allows them to sell the rest of their ICE cars in these states. Does VW have to sell a compliance car in each of the 9 ZEV stat...

Re: VW Marketing $199/Month for 36-mo Lease in 11 States

They're not willing to do a dealer trade? Here in SoCal, VW Santa Monica alone has almost two dozen 2016 eGolfs, and their sister dealership Pacific VW of Hawthorne has another 2-1/2 dozen. Dublin VW in the Bay Area has about as many on their lot. RonDawg, that's my current approach...I'm not sure ...
