My Siemens is mounted on the outside of my garage. The outlet has a weatherproof metal box around it and I have a padlock on it that means the end of the pigtail can't be pulled out without cutting the cable. Hopefully that's enough of a theft deterrent.

I fast charged at EVGo CCS fast charging station at Whole Foods in San Jose, CA with no problems. Don't know if it was an older or newer model. Haven't tried any other fast chargers.
