Re: Crazy to attempt 910 mile road Trip in 2019 eGolf SE ?

you should be able to ship it for 4-500. Now I would really say if you have the time, drive it and make it a good road trip spread out over 4-5 days. we have all been inside too much this last year. So find a fun route that has you charge once on DC and then via Level 2 to 80% where you can park it...

Re: Higher Mileage Buying Question

I’ve got about that many miles on my 2019 and live in western WA. I have DC charged maybe a dozen times and never back to back. I have not noticed any degradation. You should be good to go for a 60 mile commute for a long time. The factory 8 year warranty will cover you for a while yet.

Re: 2017 or 2019 battery?

8,000 on the 2019 should work basically as well as it did brand new. Very little degredation. With the 2017 I'd want to know how it has been stored. If it was left at 0 or 100% for 3 years, that could prove problematic.

Re: 2016 egolf fail to charge at level 2

Doesn’t the 8 year 100k warranty apply to all high voltage components? This might be covered. Worth checking out.

Re: 105 Mile Commute

If you are driving 75 with the heat on, no, I dont think you can make it. If you keep it to 65 and just use seat warmers, yes, i think it will work fine. But you don't have much margin for error, you'd have to charge to at least 90 if not 100% daily and couldnt go too far off your commute. If you ha...

Re: charging limitations

I was just about to post that article from Fastned. I get very close to that DC charge curve the 5 or so times I've used a 50kW-150kW DC charger.

Re: Why spend over $600 for L2 chargers if $275 Tesla Connector is fine?

This works great for teslas. Not so much for any other brand EV. You could get this setup and a Tesla Tap for ~$230 but then you are up near the price of the others you listed.
