Re: Traded in 2016 SE, say hello to 2019 SEL

Ours is a blue SEL, but there seem to be quite a few like it in SC...

Re: eGolf feels....wobbly?

No such feeling with my 2019 SE with stock wheels and tires. And pretty much all my driving is freeway. Very stable. I just wish the steering feel wasn't so light. That seems to be a common complaint with many modern German cars that use electrical power assist instead of hydraulic. Going back and ...

Re: eGolf feels....wobbly?

Can't say I noticed such a thing in our 2015 SEL over the years.

Re: Question: Used 2015 SEL for sale, HV battery replaced twice

AFAIK, battery replacement is really uncommon on these cars (so far). There could be an underlying reason (climate combined with excessive DCFC charging perhaps?). Our 2015 SEL is at 54k miles and gets about the same range as it did when we bought it with 32k miles (~80-100 miles on a charge typical...

Congrats! Always nice to see another eGolf in SC (though I realize it was a swap old for now). Looks like you made a good deal all things considered.

Re: Buying a 2016 e-Golf SE

i'm following this thread closely as I'm also looking at a '16 SE. I live in a hilly area near S. VT. What would a comfortable range be with snow tires on a 10 deg. F day. I have a pass at a ski area about 13 miles away. Can I expect no range issues for a round trip there on a 90% charge? Thanks. W...

Re: 40k Service, poor dealership results

I will definitely get the alignment done when new tires are put on. I had been thinking that my alignment was good as this is the only car I've owned that I can take my hand off the wheel at any speed and it goes completely straight and never veers off in any direction. Any other car I've had seeme...

Re: Driving in B mode often can cause issues?

I most certainly can feel the difference between regen only and friction but VW does a very good job at blending the two. If you lightly touch the brake pedal it is regen only. The feel is in the pedal itself (you feel hydraulic pressure in your foot). In normal driving almost all braking is regen ...

Re: Driving in B mode often can cause issues?

I think the friction brakes don't get applied unless the needle is pegged at max "green" and the brake pedal pressure indicates to the computer more deceleration is needed. /\ This is correct. No, it is not! Brakes engage at any time you hit the brake pedal and you absolutely do not have to be in t...

Re: Driving in B mode often can cause issues?

I think the friction brakes don't get applied unless the needle is pegged at max "green" and the brake pedal pressure indicates to the computer more deceleration is needed. /\ This is correct. I almost never get brake dust on either front or rear wheels, as noted when washing the car and the rims. ...
