Re: Heater disabled if outside air temp is 70F or higher

Correct ... I too asked my local dealership to investigate why the heater does not work in certain temps. They opened up a VTA with VW engineering and the answer came back that the heater works when outside temps are less than 70 deg F.

Re: Confirmed VCDS Tweaks for eGolf

Has anyone figured out how to set the hvac to keep previous setting and not default to 22C every start? http://www.myvwegolf.com/forum/viewtopic.php?f=12&t=1128 - choose module 8 (auto HVAC) - Go to adaptions - choose "cut-in behaviour" - select active AND check soft reset - press ok Now it gets in...

Yes...have it set for 8:00 am departure. According to the SCE day usage chart, it drops the charge at about 4 am leaving range in low 100s. At 6, I charge manually until 100% which is 112 to 117 miles.

Re: Level 1 charging interruption in early morning hours

I would think if voltage dropped to the point the charging system isn't happy you might be popping the circuit breaker for the outlet. (When volts go down, amps go up.) I am pretty sure the level 1 EVSE that comes with the car is good down to 100VAC and I doubt your power is dropping that low. Actu...

Level 1 charging interruption in early morning hours

Ever since the SCE summer rates went into effect, our level 1 charging is interrupted in the early morning. The level 1 charging cable is continuously plugged in at both ends. I am using the delay timer to take advantage of the off-peak rates. According to SCEs website, it shows that the charging be...

Re: Mirror dip on 2017 e-Golf

Presume this can be adjusted with a VCDS? If so has anyone done it and how is it done? Waiting too... Check this previous post: http://www.myvwegolf.com/forum/viewtopic.php?f=12&t=405&start=0 Passenger mirror reverse dip. Mirror switch has to be on the passenger setting for it to work. Once below s...

Re: 2019 e-Golf 'unlikely'

After very bad pollution in the 60's and 70's California was granted an exemption by the EPA that lets it enforce stricter pollution requirements than the rest of the country. However, that's had the effect of letting California dictate the air standards for the entire US, as the market is so large...

I was informed by two SoCal GMs that the '18s will arrive late this year at best...high probability early '19.

Re: Longer life by skipping regen?

Okay, this may be a dumb question...I know our batteries degrade over time, whatever that percentage is. If we didn’t use the regeneration options, would that help extend the life at all? My thought is that perhaps by not having that constant charge trickling in, maybe it slows down on the battery ...
