Re: Battery degradation

I do not know about other manufacturers, but I suspect the 70% warranty from another manufacturer also refers to usable capacity over time as compared to usable capacity when new. I think VW was conservative in their degradation estimates, so most people probably won't get a warranty replacement. If...

Re: Lots of error - random

I'm glad they offered you a loaner. Ok, so cold snap was probably not the cause. It sounds like the dealer is on the right track - other than the general "electrical system" error, all the other ones are related to ABS and wheel speed, I believe. Maybe they need to replace the wheel sensors for all ...

Re: Lots of error - random

If “everything” has an error, could it be a bad main computer or maybe a bad ground connection of the main computer?

Did the dealer give you a loaner? Do you live somewhere very cold in the winter? Is this an issue that showed up during a cold snap?

When you say "so far" do you mean the car is still broken?

Re: Home breaker constantly trips at specific setting

I have a hard time believing the dealer did anything to prevent your car from causing an ESVE to trip a circuit breaker - EVSEs, if designed and working correctly, pull their rated amps and no more, regardless of what the car asks for. Can you please explain in full detail exactly what the dealer di...

Re: Wallbox Pulsar Plus and eManager

I've never used a smart EVSE to charge my e-Golf and not had any issues with my low tech stations. Is there any way to make your station "dumb" and put it into some default mode - maybe a factory reset? Then do not use the app (disconnect it, if possible) and see if your car charges per the e-Manage...

Re: PSA: CAR NET shutdown MY19 and earlier

XM radio is one type of transmission and cellular data is another type - see no reason why turning off one would cause issues for the other one.

Re: Error: Electrical System. Stop!

Can you get VW USA to pay for your rental if dealer has no loaner? If car is still under warranty (I'm pretty sure it is), then VW USA owes you compensation for drivetrain and/or high voltage battery system issues. Best of luck!
