Re: 2018 eGolf - Trailer hitch for bike rack (or roof rack)

Clearly there TorqueLift makes more than one EcoHitch for the VW Mk7 Golf platform. I used the 306-X7375, and purchased the 1-1/4" receiver part to swap out with the 2" receiver (shown below) so I can use any of my hitch goodies with this car. Here's the guts behind the one I fitted to my 2019: http...

Re: Blind spot indicator on mirror

Last month, I swapped out my drivers side mirror with blind spot monitoring for an aspherical unit (also with blind spot monitoring light, Part No: 5G0857521M, eBay $37), and the LED on the back of the stock mirror is NOT user replaceable. Personally, if it was, I would have picked any other color o...

Re: Plug won't go all the way in. .02 worth of plastic.

Now that you know what you're looking for, keep looking at the charger connectors you've used recently. Eventually, you may find the plug your parts came out of. When you find it, I'd like to see pictures of it, so we can determine how wide spread this problem is. Looking at the black plastic piece ...

Re: Any eGolf owners in Florida

There's a few more of the pre-loved off-lease e-Golfs kicking around FL. I saw them running through the off lease sites last spring and summer. My wife and I actually test drove one before we bought "Fahrvergnügen" brand new. (image below) I have a 2019 e-Golf SE. :D It runs on sunshine thanks to ou...

as F1Geek said: That green o-ring looking bit isn't supposed to be in the slot either. Unfold a paper clip and dig that out of the groove too... That came out of the charge connector too.

Re: Inspection Due... 2,500 mi??

I've got under 2k miles on my 2019 (delivered in August) and it's been counting down for a few days now... I'll let the dealer reset that counter when they fix my passenger door wiring harness issue. :o I should probably scan the car with OBDEleven before and after and see if I can figure out what b...

Re: 2018 eGolf - Trailer hitch for bike rack (or roof rack)

MetalMan, I'll post my thoughts on the EcoHitch stealth model when mine arrives next month. I had e-Trailer find the part for the other size adapter so I'll have both the 1-1/4" receiver and 2" receiver versions of this hitch. This way, I can use my Yakima or my Thule bike rack. (pricey? oh yes, it ...

Re: Plug won't go all the way in. .02 worth of plastic.

Look carefully at the INSIDE of your charging connector. I believe this ring belongs to some charging connector your vehicle was recently connected to. This is the second description I've read in the last 6 months for a plastic ring lodged in the charging port. I believe this ring snaps into the ins...
