Found it! Was pushed up out of its holder and located behind the storage compartment.

That’s what I expected but it’s just not there. I’ll have to contact the dealer since they’ve had the car in a few times already and I assume hooked up a scanner.

No OBD port?

I checked under the cover next to the steering wheel, and there is no port. Is this odd or normal?

This is a 2018 LHD model. Here’s where you’d expect to see it but there’s just an empty space.

The second statement you make "In normal driving almost all braking is regen unless a panic stop." is only true if you keep your car in any of the regen modes available (D1, D2, D3 or B) and never use the brake pedal. You do know that while not in any regen mode (like plain D) pressing on...

Using B mode at low speeds will slow my car almost to a stop, which works great in slow traffic. So, I think you are over exaggerating when you say “worthless” because it’s not.

I believe the correct description is “Convenience mode” or “Convenience opening”

If you are in North America, or, US specifically, I read that the feature is disabled due to safety concerns whereby pinch protection is off while using this feature. You can enable it using OBDeleven diagnostic and scan tool for your e-Golf.

I know that car-net is a mess, and there's an obvious glitch here, but I though this was too funny. Check the "Estimated miles remaining" I got the other day... :D
