lease extension

I haven't read through the entire blog, but I thought I would update others on lease extensions. We got our 2019 e-golf at the end of May, 2019. In February this year we extended our lease by 6 months with a simple phone call to the credit end-of-lease department. They warned me, however, that we co...

ev-vin.blogspot.com

The ev-vin.blogspot.com listing ev lease bargains now only has the factory lease offers. The local dealership offers are no longer listed. Does anyone know what happened? Is there another website with that information? We are beginning to think about what cars to look at once our 2019 lease is up ne...

golf inventory

We are trying to decide what to do when our 2016 e-golf lease is up at the end of May (we already extended 6 months). We stopped by a dealer and they had a "few cars" with the loss leader 24 month lease - it is a reasonably good deal. As we started to leave, the salesman said "if you ...

temporarily disable passenger airbag

I had open heart surgery 6/26/18 and they want me to either turn off the passenger side air bag or ride in the back seat for the next 4 weeks to protect the repair to my sternum. Since I am not wild about looking like I am in a lyft, I would like to temporarily disable the passenger airbag on our 20...

Re: 2016 E Golf Charging Fault

Thanks for your response. Did it again yesterday - but since we are in California it is only 50-60 degrees - probably not cold enough to affect o-rings. Seems more like a timing/software/electronics fault since it charges fine on the second try even without unplugging the charger. Since no one else...

Re: 2016 E Golf Charging Fault

We are having a different problem with our on-board charger. The car worked fine for many months, but the last four times we plugged it in (three times at two Chargepoint stations, once on our home L2 charger), no current is drawn immediately and eventually the charging times out - we get a message ...

Re: Regenerative Braking Drive Modes Gimmicky?

I was happy to stumble on to this thread. When we first got our 2015 e-golf 6 months ago (hand me down from our son), we always used B-mode. As a former Leaf drivers, we enjoyed the aggressive regenerative braking. However, when I read the 100 miler thread, I noticed most of the successful people us...

Re: 100 Mile Club

We haven't gone 100 miles on a charge, but regularly have been over 90 miles with ~15 miles remaining before we get to the "red" zone on the charge level display and get nervous. Usually we get ~5.3 miles/kWh. 1. What happens when you drive in the red zone? Reduced top speed? No a/c or hea...

Sorry - I created an account but the website seemed to indicate that to get data I would have to pay $35 for one day access. Did I do something wrong?
