I checked under the cover next to the steering wheel, and there is no port. Is this odd or normal?

This is a 2018 LHD model. Here’s where you’d expect to see it but there’s just an empty space. 75577A31-4F70-487F-814E-486157EEC119.jpeg

The OBD port on my car is not under a cover - it is to the left of the steering wheel. I doubt VW removed the OBD port for e-Golfs and I believe I've read about 2018, 2019, and 2020 drivers being able to use OBDEleven to check data.

That’s what I expected but it’s just not there. I’ll have to contact the dealer since they’ve had the car in a few times already and I assume hooked up a scanner.

Found it! Was pushed up out of its holder and located behind the storage compartment.
