Hi all, I'm sitting at my local VW shop waiting for my 30K mile service to complete, and asked the dealer to provide the current usable capacity for the battery: the service rep hasn't heard of such a thing. The service rep at my 20K mile service also could not provide this figure.

About a year ago I saw a forum post that showed an example of the high-voltage battery diagnostic printout VW creates and identified a usable capacity figure, but I can't find it now. Anyone know exactly what the line item is?

I'll keep hunting around and will post it here if I find it before anyone replies.

I wonder what Netfin VW would do if I came in claiming that I'd like to take advantage of the 70% usable battery capacity warranty.

Found it, http://www.myvwegolf.com/forum/viewtopic.php?f=12&t=564

The key parts:

On page 26 of 60, under "Battery Monitoring measured values", these two numbers pop up:
Param_SOHP 89%
"SOHP" means "State of Health Power"
If it helps track things down, the section actually looks like this:

Function call-up: sys x 1 0413 11 Start Stopp Kapitel 6 MQB 00011
Test step: Supply
Test step: Vehicle selection
Test step: Battery monitoring measured values

/Param_MatchRecorDataIdent 12 05
/Param_RecorDataIdent EM_prcSoh
/Param_DataRecor/Param_SOHP 89.0%
