I've been without my e-golf for over two weeks while the dealer tries to determine why the heater doesn't work sometimes. I understand that the heater uses electricity but I get cold !

According to the factory, the heater will not engage if the OSA sensor reads 70 degrees or more. This is "normal" and part of the vehicle's energy saving algorithm.

Anyone else get this line ?

Thanks for the feedback.

I would agree as I originally took issue with the "auto" reset to 72 degrees on startup. That being corrected through software update, I have tried a repeatable setting of 78 degrees which will not activate unless outside temperature drops as you have noticed........... Oh yeah, my first post!

Correct ... I too asked my local dealership to investigate why the heater does not work in certain temps. They opened up a VTA with VW engineering and the answer came back that the heater works when outside temps are less than 70 deg F.
