Is there any way in an E-golf to visually identify battery capacity like there is in a Leaf? In a leaf 12 bars is full capacity, 11 bars is 85 capacity and each bar loss is about 5% after that. thanks gary

I don't know about the Leaf, but in the e-Golf the lower dial on the right (#6 in the image) shows the battery charge in 1/16 increments –

If you mean battery health (such as percentage of original capacity), then the e-Golf does not have a user accessible way to see that like the LEAF does.

That's only if you have the analog instrument panel. The Digital Dashboard doesn't provide hash marks for the SOC indicator, and so there's no way to really tell other than in a very general way via the instrument panel in SEL trim cars with the DD.

The only way to view SOC as an actual percentage number that I know of is to go to the Car-Net web site (not the app) at https://carnet.vw.com/web/vwcwp/login, click Battery, and then either resize your browser window to a very narrow size or view the site on a phone so that the browser window is very narrow. Only then will you see battery SOC show as a percentage number.

There is no user accessible State of Health like on the Leaf instrument panel. The only way to get this from an e-Golf is with an aftermarket tool like OBDEleven.
