New 2019 eGolf with a rattle that comes and goes depending on the temperature inside the car. Narrowed it down to the cover on the A pillar on the right side. Would like to pop it off and see what's going on. Suspect the cover itself is up against something that just needs a little bit of foam tape applied.

Also want to remove the driver's side to route power up to a dashcam (unless I can pick off power from the dome light pod?).

Anyone know how to remove without destroying them? After trying to get the A pillars off my 03' Jetta TDI and failing (and leaving marks on it) I won't want to do the same thing to this car.

Thanks in advance

Check out this video of a guy installing a self-dimming mirror. He removes the A-pillar cover at about 4m16s:

Thank you! I also googled around and found this

There's a few users in that thread that talk about rattling from their a-pillar.

It talks about popping the a-pillar cover out a little then sliding the clip up towards the roof. There's some images on what two of the clips look like.

I might just go to the dealer for this. Trouble is It only rattles when driving on certain road conditions (broken up/rumbly asphalt), normal bumps, driveways, etc don't do it, and it doesn't do it when the interior is very hot, or cold. Will probably be hard to demonstrate the problem.

FWIW, a few weeks ago I tried to remove the front right A pillar cover to try and get rid of the intermittent rattle. I was able to get to the upper metal clip but wasn't able to slide it down to remove it. Finally gave up after trying for a while.

Bummer. I was hoping to get rid of that rattle.
