Blind spot indicator on mirror

Hello,

Has anyone changed the blind spot indicator light bulbs in the mirror and if so, was it easy?

I would like to change the orange bulbs to red for better visibility.

My guess is that there's not a traditional bulb in there... probably a hard-wired light source, maybe LED. Again, only my guess.

Last month, I swapped out my drivers side mirror with blind spot monitoring for an aspherical unit (also with blind spot monitoring light, Part No: 5G0857521M, eBay $37), and the LED on the back of the stock mirror is NOT user replaceable. Personally, if it was, I would have picked any other color other than amber since the turn signal indicator in my peripheral vision is the going to be amber. Blue, Red SOME other color would have been nice... Blinking blue over on the side mirrors particularly gets my attention!! :lol:
