ABRP with OBD: Mapping App with live data on state of charge

Just an FYI for e-Golf owners...

I own a 2019 e-Golf SEL Premium and have recently subscribed to a Better Route Planner (ABRP premium, needed for live data) and have installed the Vgate vLinker MC+ Bluetooth OBD dongle. While ABRP is still a bit buggy, particularly with Apple iOS and CarPlay, the live data feature works, and I can see the instantaneous state of charge in numerical percentage % on my VW screen. While I did this mostly for fun, the live data feature should be able to much more reliably work for mapping to charge stations for road trips.

Thanks for public service announcement. I also use ABRP and it is great to have digital SoC, finally!

WHAT? is it due to the SEL that car can do fast charge so a road trip is doable yet hard on the battery?

I have the SE so I never imagine to travel where a 4 hr charge is needed every 120 miles

I believe DCFC is standard in the 2017 model year.
