Planning to leave the car in the garage for about 2 weeks. What did you do with the e-golf?

1. Do I need a trickle charger for the 12v battery?
2. Leave it plugged or unplugged?
3. If leaving it unplugged, should I fully charge the car before leaving it in the garage?

Thanks in advance!

If it's in your own garage, a 12V battery maintainer would not hurt. However, I've not heard any evidence that an e-Golf would drain the 12V after 2 or even 4 weeks. There is no need to plug in the car. I would leave it with whatever charge level it has before you leave as long as it's between 25% and 90%. I would definitely not fully charge it before leaving.

I went on a 3 week trip several months ago and I left my eGolf at home, totally unplugged, and had no problems turning it back on when I returned.

Definitely DO NOT leave it sitting at 100% for extended periods of time, especially in summer. A figure I often hear is 30-60% for long term storage.
