    eGolf no longer charges

I have an outlet in the garage I have used for years with various appliances, and it would not charge my eGolf. Turns out it was a bad ground and a simple fix. With only one golf at the house, I didn't have the opportunity to check anything besides the outlet :)

    JuiceBox 40 install

Just a heads up - I noticed the price dropped $50 about 2 weeks after I ordered in late August, and they refunded the difference.

    JuiceBox 40 install

Just installed the JB 40 amp with 10 kWh charging rate. Used a Connecticut Electric box with 50amp breaker and 2 outlets. Cord fits nicely, and I will be able to lock it inside. Had no plans for a level two charger, but given the amount we are driving this car, this will be a huge benefit...

Lease a 2015 eGolf SEL now or wait for the 2016 eGolf SEL?

The more important thing to me is range, so I am curious when they might be able to increase the range in the next 2 to 3 years. I was glad to get into a lease earlier thinking that by the time it's over maybe the next model with a further range, or another option on the market, might be available

Has anybody else decided not to get an L2 charger for home?

Came to the same conclusion initially, but driving the car more, stretching with further trips and line at local chargers made me change my mind over summer. I so much prefer driving this car, I want to get it back online faster :D

    New ChargePoint Home charger

I agree, the Juicebox leaves a lot to be desired in the aesthetics department, but it's going to go on the side of my house near the what you're sitting meter, so I'm not too concerned about it. I'd rather have functionality over aesthetics.

    Confused on L2 chargers

Thanks - I ordered the Juicebox Pro 40. I have an Amazon account to give me 5% off, so the net price was $570. I figure between the features, app, availability, and upgraded amperage, it's the right way to go.

    New ChargePoint Home charger

Am I understanding correctly that to garage output from the above, I would multiple amps times volts? For example, their 16 amp should produce 3.84 kWh? And the 32 amp would provide 7.7 kWh? It seems like if the connected feature is of interest, the Juicebox 40 Pro is the better bet at $599...

Is there a way to measure usage, or would I need an EVSE with that capability?

    Confused on L2 chargers

Thanks everyone - I will just install a hard wired unit then and disconnect when I leave. Home Depot has the GE unit for $399 and maybe there will be a sale over Labor Day.

    Confused on L2 chargers

I'm looking for some advice on installing a L2 charger at employer-provides housing. I am paying to have a 240 line installed ($650), and would prefer to use a plug in lieu of hardwire given that it's not my home, so my thinkng is that it would be easier, when my contract is over, to unplug the...
