I have the same issue after 6 month into buying this car. Mine is a 2018SEL. I tried to open the trunk but I get the noise like something is suppose to happen but it doesn’t open. I tried using the emergency latch in the inside but I can’t open the thing. I’m gonna open this trunk somehow...

My e golf is having the same issue. I can’t even unlatch from the inside. I’m going to try you way. The dealership think it’s the latch and quoted 350-400$ to repair.
