The only use of the term "sparingly" in the 2015 manual:
Here is what it says about DC charging:
"Frequent and consecutive" is the phrasing, and the example used is no more than 50% of the time.
All three fuse panels are described in great detail in the wiring diagram document available from erWin. The information does change rather quickly, as the document I have from May 2015 has a chart for the inside fuse panel "C" for cars built after March 2014, and then again for cars built after...
I have a 7500 mi/yr lease and I drove less than 6000 miles in the past 12 months. Driving habits and needs are truly unique.
Is pre-purchasing extra miles an option for you?
It's pretty smart and will adjust based on the outside ambient temperature. In these "cold" winter mornings, mine starts up about 10 minutes prior to departure.
They are like flies on stink in Northern California, but then EVs are exceptionally popular here. I don't know about total sales for the state but if I were to bet I would say California alone accounts for over 50% of total monthly e-Golf sales. Just a wild guess, though.
Why do you need to quick charge? The motive battery in the e-Golf is so small that a level 2 can charge it from half to full in under 2 hours, well under 2 hours to 80% which is the maximum a quick charger can do. What are your planned driving habits going to be with an e-Golf?
Describe the behavior you are seeing. When does the light come on? It is supposed to be on when the car is not moving (or coming to a stop). Is it coming on at other times?
The unprepossessing JuiceBox is just a non-starter with me, even in a garage. I really need the extra five feet of cable on the ChargePoint as well. However, having a single source of data for both public and home usage is really the killer feature here.
The ChargePoint Home EVSE is finally available for purchase now. They are distributing through Amazon.

The pricing is what was announced before. It's a bit cheaper than some of the other EVSE configurations out there, but pretty much right in line. They...
It doesn't really work well. I have found it quickly loses where I set both the "R" and "D" positions, so I still have to adjust. For instance, the mirror should dip both down and in, but it only goes down regardless of where I set it. And eventually it is poorly adjusted for forward driving and...
That is a 240 volt EVSE. The input says 208-240 VAC. The 120 V input is measured from each hot leg to ground. The potential between the two hot legs will be 208-240 V.
You can charge at 6 kW with that EVSE, so a complete charge will take four hours. That is if your battery is near empty...
Golf/GTI mats will not fit the e-Golf. One of the few body differences in the e-Golf is a slightly raised floor under the seats to fit batteries for the electric drive unit.
In my opinion the European mats are so much better than the monster mats. I've had them in every VW and Audi I've ever...
Does your car have the spanner/wrench telematics button up on the headliner? When I activated my account I pressed that button to talk to the VW Car-Net service representative and that person completed the account setup. I wonder if that works in Europe as well.
