Change in your pocket with Key Fob

Interesting, thanks for sharing. Will try to replicate. Definitely not something I recall reading about in the manual. :D

nrg EVGo MA DC Combo charger experiences

Yes, I had read all of the above before. None of it applies to the situation at hand. I'm not saying everyone should go ahead and plan a 400-mile road trip with four DC charging stops. But a 126-mile day with two DC charging stops well spaced apart, including a period when the car is just...

JT, as I've mentioned before, it does get more than a little annoying when you systematically assume nobody other than you has ever read the manual. To address the substantive points in your message: - I know what the manual says - These two fast charges were not one right after the other -...

nrg EVGo MA DC Combo charger experiences

Adding to the list above - I did a 126-mile circuit yesterday including quick recharging stops at the following DC quick chargers - both of which worked flawlessly: Pheasant Lane Mall (listed in OP); and Rockingham Park Mall Because you have to pay to use these fast chargers, you can generally...

Car not charging at public stations that work for other cars

This is getting a little off-topic, but... if I believe the manual, it would take much more than a few hours below zero to damage the battery, even if - as it did this morning - the temperature drops to 11 below: Should the vehicle be parked for longer than 2 days at temperatures of below -...

Car not charging at public stations that work for other cars

Just to add a data point here: I plugged in my 2015 SEL (1,350 miles on the odometer) at 5 below zero this morning on my home charger (Leviton unit) with no problems - nor have I encountered any problems at all charging at home or at public stations since I got it. My e-Golf is an outside cat -...

    Issue with Heated side mirrors

I'm not going to waste any more bandwidth continuing this thread, he says doing just that. You totally missed the point I was making, but clearly you are not interested in promoting a constructive forum if it doesn't match your opinion of what it should be, he says doing exactly the same thing...

    Issue with Heated side mirrors

I beg to differ. There is no one-size-fits-all best approach. Not everyone will read the manual or care to, nor is your opinion that everyone should constructive (though you might think it is). Many people regard a community such as this as a support forum of people with a shared interest...

    Any 2016's in MA?

In case anyone missed this... $2M was added to the MOR-EV program last weekend, of which 11% has already been used up. So the program now has $1.6M available funding for more rebates!

I guess what you are missing is my conservative mindset that tells me not to count on being able to cover 75 miles at highway speeds! :D

Not quite, at least not that I could figure out through Plugshare. There is one final stretch from Connecticut that's just too long.

I tried the 50 kW NRG evGO CCS/ChaDeMo charger at the Chestnut Hill mall yesterday... Worked perfectly. They definitely upgraded this one from its original ChaDeMo-only version. There were just two CCS chargers in Masachusetts when I bought the e-Golf six weeks ago... Now I count 13 on...

    Any 2016's in MA?

My (late November) 2015 SEL was $24,048 all-in (i.e. including taxes, registration, inspection and everything else), minus the $2,500 MOR-EV rebate I received last week, so $21,548 net. There's definitely good deals to be had at VW dealerships lately... December saw a large spike in MOR-EV...

    Any 2016's in MA?

I'd be careful that waiting could well cost you the $2,500 MOR-EV rebate (or may already have cost you that)... From the stats on the site, it looks as if funding for that was drained by the end of December (currently standing at $3.792M approved rebates against $3.72M in funding). It is...

    East-central Mass public chargers under-subscribed...

Thank you for being so considerate... I've been at Logan many a time when charging spots are taken by EVs that are not even plugged in. Very irksome when you have the EV that does need a charge but there's no spots left.
