How did you get new keys?

Someone here must have had to get new keys by now. What was your method? Called the dealer, the said they order keys takes 2-3days. Quoted 170ish for the keyfob, and another $100 to program it... Bought a 2016se only a few weeks ago, and last night went to drop off the company vehicle and got...

    Colorado e-golfs?

I used to live in Denver. So will just say this: I get more range staying below 55. 45 is even better. The car seems best in town and kept off highways. But if you have a smaller commute and can charge every night, the highways are completely doable GL !

    Build Thread: Performance e-Golf

I would rather have a car that is faster than it looks, than the opposite. You will draw so much unwanted attention, from cops, and from every ego-driven driver on the road. The egolf is not worth dumping a bunch of money into it. It defeats its purpose on so many levels. While I do love the...

Help! My car won't go into reverse (just moves forward)...

You do not want that. If a car could not get out of park without the engine on, then you would be screwed. In the event that a car wont start, you would never get it to a shop. When a car is towed, the vehicle is taken out of gear so that it can be pulled, via cable, onto a tow truck lol...

How do you all prevent theft of charging cables in public?

When you say "two legs of 120v ac" I am interpreting that as it plugs into 2 normal outlets simultaniously. However, if we plug in something to a single 220v, like what your dryer uses, or what a 5th wheel trailer uses, then it is DC. This is what the tech was trying to say; and I question the...

How do you all prevent theft of charging cables in public?

This is what my charger port looks like, almost exactly. Only difference is, that I have a 2nd button(left) for scheduled time charging.

How do you all prevent theft of charging cables in public?

I have a 2016se, am in the US, and just confirmed that the plug is locked when the doors are locked. I pressed the button on the plug handle while it is charging, and tried to pull it out. It is held in place by something I cannot see - the lock. How do I confirm the car has DC charging...

How do you all prevent theft of charging cables in public?

I have the 2016se, and it does lock it when I lock the doors. However, I know that if I wanted to, I could prob break it loose with no problem. Any thief is just going to snap that thing off easily, breaking the lock tab most likely on the car. Stolen L2 charge cable + damage lock mechanism on...

    Tire pressure loss, your experiences

This is exactly what I know of alluminium rims, and what I was wondering. Exactly what my previous cars have done. Thank you jt I would like to just take the wheel in to the dealer, because its 30miles and I also dont want to lose the car for days/or have to ask someone for rides there/back...

    Tire pressure loss, your experiences

Its not fear lol, its fact. Ive had multiple cars with alluminium wheels and they've all lost air. You can minimize it by cleaning the bead contact point, in fact good tire shops scrap the contact point with a wire brush when changing tires. Just trying to see how much you guys are losing. Its...

    Tire pressure loss, your experiences

Do you guys experience random tire pressure losses? When I bought the car one rear tire was low at the lot. Now, I have had the car for a week and I am losing some air. But I swear its the opposite side rear tire. I know alluminium rims are notorious for losing small amounts of pressure...
