How does it “not accept” the new battery?

    Battery "Breaking In"?

When I bought my e-Golf a year ago I was lucky to get 4.0mi/kWh carefully driving around town with 60˚F temperatures. Now, a year later, I'm able to consistently get 5.0+mi/kWh, even driving 60mph on the highway in 45-50˚F temperatures. Has anyone else noticed similar? I know that my driving...

    LA to SF

VW did an e-Golf road trip where there back to back DC Fast Charged a few times as a publicity stunt. While their legal team says don't do it, I feel like this is simply from a legal stand point so if something were to happen to your battery, they have an out.

    Latest broken Car-Net update

iOS or Android? iOS has an update button at the bottom of the main screen of the app. (It used to be in the upper right of each screen as well, but they removed that with the latest update.)

    100 Mile Club

Success! Had to wait for a string of four ~60˚ days in a row to make it happen.

Do you change electrical plan when you get the car ?

I'm on the other coast and switched my rate plan with BGE to the Residential EV TOU. I'm not home during the day to suck up peak power, so the 3 hours an evening I'm using peak power is offset by the off-peak charging, and then some. The first month with the car I kept my standard rate plan...

Heater reduces reported range by 12-- 15 miles instantly

This is perfectly normal. You lose about 10% of your range when you turn on the heat (with a ~40˚ difference), however that "loss" is based on using all of the available charge. Which is why you get the range back as soon as you turn it off. Same with seat heat, defrosters, and AC. All drains on...

Who reserved a Tesla Model 3?

Tesla is also carrying debt to the tune of billions of dollars. SolarCity was signing contracts with people who have defaulted on their mortgages. Tesla isn't all they try to make themselves out to be. There is a reason their stock fell 15% after their Q4 earnings call.

    Temperature effect on range

For me, in warmer (but not hot) weather, around 60º, I get about 5.5 mi/kWh. In colder weather, sub 35º, I tend to get about 4.2 mi/kWh without using heat. Coldest I've driven at was about 15º with heat on, that I struggled to stay above 3.0 mi/kWh.

PG&E offering new 2017 $500 rebate for EVs and plug-ins

How much could a (roughly) 1.39704E+07 feet 5⅞ inches extension cord run? No more than a couple of Italian made cars that get close to the same gas mileage than we do (0 MPG) right?

PG&E offering new 2017 $500 rebate for EVs and plug-ins

I'm on the east coast, and pay 5.6¢ during off-peak (9p-7a M-F, all day on weekends and holidays). 11-12¢ is what my standard rate is without being on the EV TOU Rate. I feel for you left coasters

driving while the charger is plugged in?

What about the trailer, the hitch, the fuel, the added drag? Is that all sitting in the average trunk too?
