    CarPlay intermittent outages

    I've had issues with mine too, and I believe most of the problems stem from 1) carplay on the phone is not that reliable, 2) the cable I have is a little old and one side of the plug is way more reliable than the other.

    CarPlay, how do updates work?

    Based on what I've read, CarPlay is just software on your phone that interfaces with your car's dash screen, sorta like your AppleTV (or DVD player etc.) interacts with your TV. Updates to CarPlay should be handled with regular iOS updates on your phone. :)
