Agreed. This is a normal sound. People are saying it is the pump circulating the coolant, but there is another sound which I believe has something to do with charging the 12V battery. I could totally be wrong, but it would be interesting to confirm what these sounds are, from a technical point...

Hm, my guess is maybe the brake retaining clips (which have a tiny bit of play) bouncing off the metal. It is completely normal (if that is indeed the noise). Try bringing the car to a super smooth stop, so towards the end of your stop, right before you completely stop, release the brake pedal...

Yup, we had a similar issue on our Passat. The trick is to use the OEM Apple Lightning cable. If the cable is not from Apple, it'll (most likely) not work without flaws. Try it :)
