    MY2018

This matches my experience with them when I leased my 2015 e-Golf LE. They gave me the price I wanted and I did all my negotiating over the phone/email so that when I showed up, I could just sign some papers and be on my way. I greatly prefer this to engaging in the silly waiting/"let me take...

    Car-net and delayed charging

Wow, I've been thinking about doing this too, although I love everything about Clipper Creek as a company. What did you end up doing with your CC unit?

    Recent regressions in Car-Net functionality

I don't want to get anyone's hopes up, but this evening I'm noticing that charging status is updating properly, starting charging from iOS and web is faster and actually succeeds on the first try, and Car-Net service responses to the iOS and web apps are faster. Fingers crossed that this is real.

    Recent regressions in Car-Net functionality

FWIW, this (silly) incantation also works for me to get an updated charging status. Time remaining is still inaccurate, but at least charging status and battery level are updated. Beggars—or captive customers—can't be choosers, amirite?

Car Net is a sad app...

That's what I thought when I got the car in June. But it has actually gotten worse. They spent a bunch of time pushing pixels around instead of improving the actual function of the app and service. To me it's clear that whoever architected/implemented the system is not very good. Will VW realize...

    Recent regressions in Car-Net functionality

In the past few weeks, I've noticed a couple annoying regressions in Car-Net functionality (in both web app and iOS app) and I'm wondering if anyone else is experiencing these too: Inaccurate/out-of-date battery charging state — even after hitting "refresh" to get an updated status. I have...

    Car-net and delayed charging

I've had this problem too and it's very frustrating. Makes me wish I had held out for the ChargePoint Home unit; I'd be able to factor out the Car-Net issues altogether.

    12V sockets not working

That's annoying. I'm considering buying this to avoid that problem (and also to have a high-quality compressor in general): http://thewirecutter.com/reviews/the-best-gear-for-your-road-trip/#compressor

    12V sockets not working

All right. I found the blown fuse (20A) behind the little dashboard compartment to the left of the steering wheel. Swapping this out myself will save me a trip to the dealer. :) Will post photos when I do the swap.

    12V sockets not working

Neither the front nor the rear 12V socket in my vehicle is working. I've tested this with two devices that I've confirmed are working in my other vehicle. Has anyone had this problem? The ring around the front 12V socket lights up as it should. Does anyone know if they're on the same fuse? I'm...

    new carnet web site...

Here's my janky workflow to make off-peak charging work without needing to go to the garage after 11pm and put the plug in the car: After finishing car use for the day (could be early afternoon, could be late evening), connect car to L2 EVSE. I have a scheduled charging set to have the car...

    Car-net and delayed charging

Maybe there's a bug specific to the L2-ness. The board may be the same, but the data (e.g. available charge current) being sent from the board to the car are (obviously) different. I don't know ... it's just a wild, uneducated guess. Guessing, at the very least, distracts from the feeling of...

    Car-net and delayed charging

Thanks for the details and screenshots — they are helpful. Do you have any idea if I can expect this to work with a Clipper Creek L2 unit? I have a single profile set to charge to 100%, with a scheduled departure time of 6:00 AM, repeating daily. Off-peak charging is off, as is climate control...

    CarNet Remote Climate

I have gotten it to work, although it took several tries to get the settings to successfully save via iOS app. It also sometimes takes several tries to start the Remote Climate function due to what appear to be random, transient failures. You know, the usual Car-Net flakiness. But unlike delayed...
