I agree -- and VW had better not miss the boat on this because there are probably many current e-Golf lessees who, like me, have deposits on the Tesla Model III. If VW wants to stay competitive in the US, it needs to release its high range EV at least at the same time as Model III. Otherwise it...

My e-Golf never "jerks" while driving in B mode -- it is as SMOOTH AS BUTTER. It would only jerk that if you shifted from D to B at speed.

I phoned car-net and was told to press the 'I' car-net button in the car, wait for a while, and try again. Pressing the button did connect a call (cancelled before anyone answered); hopefully the kinks will be worked out and the car will be reporting range etc. via the app shortly.
