After about 5 months I think I've gotten used to it - at least I've stopped thinking every day "is this sound annoying or not?" You'll get used to it.

I've gone on about this but here goes... No comparison. I can list about 30 annoying things with the Leaf - and about 3 with the e-golf after almost 5 months. Locking charger, service required for an a/c problem which was quickly taken care of, and yeah you can't really see if it's charging but...

Dealer installed Hvac software update and added refrigerant which was low (no leak was found) - this seems to have solved the problem.

So a double click works? After ten minutes of fumbling around I finally tried unlocking at the door switch and that worked. Again the locking charger as default setting is just going out of your way to irritate drivers.

Charging port always locking is totally unnecessary - my only irritant. I always drive in normal.

2011 Nissan Leaf. I'm pretty sure the e-golf is one of the best cars there is for LA traffic after a month of driving the area. I can't think of one thing that I like better in the Leaf - just really impressed with the eGolf.
