Should we talk with the admin and have him add a link to http://www.ElectricVehicleWiki.com where we could add all of the info, similar to what is on the Nissan Leaf forum?

What changes will there be in the 2016 e-Golf?

Electric Vehicles are still a new thing to many people, and they just want to compare electric range and cost - I think that's why Volkswagen has come out with the stripped down SE version. People that want a entry level EV with X number of miles for X cost will then be able to compare it with...

Does this e-Golf ad offend you?

According to InsideEvs, there is a new VW campaign for the electric Golf with the tagline "One Drive and You'll Almost Forget It's Electric" and it's caused some strong reactions among EV owners. From http://insideevs.com/volkswagen-e-golf-tagline-one-drive-youll-almost-forget-electric/...

    November 2014 Sales

Volkswagen reports selling 119 e-Golf electric vehicles in the US in November 2014. Looks like the e-Golf is going to start taking a chunk out of the 'other' EV's sales!

Business Week calls the e-Golf boring... but it's good!

If they'd hurry up and start delivering them in North America they'd sell a bunch more than they are right now ;) Good point about the base model vs full loaded e-Golf.

Business Week calls the e-Golf boring... but it's good!

Business Week recently reviewed the Volkswagen electric Golf - and called it "The Boring Brilliance of VW's New Electric Golf". One of the comments the reviewer made is how the e-Golf dash doesn't light up with leaves and butterflies if you drive efficiently - it simply has a needle that goes...

Just had a test drive of e-golf

Hi Sureway, Very interesting, thanks for posting your findings on the forum! Do you think the noise was extra wind/road noise (due to higher coefficient of drag etc) or was it motor noise? Also, what do you mean low-profile with the current batter size on the S trim?

Only 26 members and lot of bmw i3s does not bode well

Once the e-golf is available, or nearing available, as press releases increase, we'll see traffic and members increase - it happens that way all the time. I think there are lots of Volkswagen fans that will be very interested in this electric vehicle.

Does the e-Golf have a spare tire?

I was hoping that no news was good news... but thanks for confirming! I had assumed this would be the case since the battery pack is under the rear seat and cargo area (where the spare tire typically is located).

US Volkswagen e-Golf SEL Premium reviewed (video)

Not really the best review, since they complain about range anxiety and increasing availability of charging stations, but don't even mention the convenience of charging at home. On top of that, they don't even mention the biggest differences between electric and internal combustion vehicles...

    Only 1 rim available for e-Golf, it's one I don't care for

Definitely a unique look for the e-Golf and GTE wheels, but also better aerodynamics because of less open wheel space inbetween the 'spokes' of the wheels. Here are the pictures for reference Here is the e-Golf wheels: And here are the Astansa wheels:
