Will these fit?

Looking at wheel options under 18lbs, does anyone know the right offsets for 17" x 7 to 8" rims?

example:

Bolt Pattern 5x112
Bore 75
Offset 50
Size 17x8

Yes, I think they will. You will need to confirm the offset is good, but I think it is. That center bore sounds large, so you'll probably need centering rings.

8" wheel seems a little wide for an e-Golf. What size tires are you planning on using? I would only go with an 8" rim if you are planning on using 235 or 245 width tires.

Are these intended to be a performance mod, a styling mod or an economy mod?

It's a compensation mod, although I've no idea what it's compensating for? Money burning a hole in one's pocket, is my guess.
