    Max amperage of on-board charger?

I know the wattage of the on-board charger is 7.2kW which means 30A at 240V but could it pull e.g. ~35A on a 208V circuit (assuming the EVSE is rated for it)? Or would it still be limited to 30A (and therefore ~6.2kW at 208V)?

    OBD data logger?

Does anyone use an OBD data logger with their e-Golf? I mean something that stays plugged in and gathers data over time as opposed to just using the port for diagnostics/mods. I used an Automatic Pro with my ICE which I absolutely loved, but it wasn't designed for EVs and doesn't work well with...

    Range vs. temperature

A Canadian VW employee posted this great chart to the e-Golf facebook group, of average range vs. temperature based on OBD data captured from a 2017 fleet car with ~10k miles of typical driving by ~100 different drivers. Overall trend is not surprising, but it's pretty incredible to see the over...

Does the 2017 SE have a heat pump?

Can someone settle this question for me? According to a post on the official VW Canada site, "The 2017 e-Golf is equipped with a 'heat pump' as standard equipment" but according to the official 2017 e-Golf brochure, "Auxiliary heat pump" is only included on the SEL Premium and not SE. So which...

    Coasting

It sometimes feels like I can't read anything about EVs without reference made to "one-pedal driving" and how it's the "way of the future" and how many EV owners "can't go back" after trying it, so in the interest of balance, this post is dedicated to everyone else: literally anyone who doesn't...

    usable capacity of 35.8kWh battery?

I know the nominal capacity of the newest e-Golf battery is 35.8kWh, but I assume there's some margin on both ends for the sake of battery health. I guess I have two questions: 1) How much kWh capacity is actually represented between 0 and 100% on the fuel gauge? I realize this could be roughly...
