Volkswagen’s e-Golf should be a strong contender when it arrives in the US later this year, competing with everything from the Nissan LEAF to new arrivals such as the Mercedes B-Class Electric Drive and the BMW i3. While it offers nothing extraordinary in terms of range or performance, we’ve found that in terms of ease-of-use and overall quality it will be almost impossible to beat.
Of course, all of this comes down to price. Once we know what the e-Golf will cost in North America, we'll be able to have a pretty good idea of how well it will sell, and whether or not it will steal EV buyers from other makes, or simply convert existing Golf fans to beliEVers
