Headlight switch on auto, no chime when door is open

I just realized that there is no door chime if i was to leave the door open while the headlight is on auto. Is this normal?

Yes. There's no need for the chime since the headlights automatically shut off. My Alltrack doesn't have auto-on headlights but the headlights automatically shut off when you turn off the car, so no chime either (haven't tried it with the eGolf).
