Weird question about e-golf battery charging

Hi there, as a matter of routine we charge our e-Golf overnight in our garage using the "supplementary" AC wall outlet charger plug that came with the vehicle. Recently we bought some baby chicks and decided to put them in the garage as well since the smell was too strong for inside the house. Is there any reason for concern that either a) any kind of fumes might be released by the car battery while charging that need to be vented or else would be harmful to the chicks, or b) having the charging cable close to the chicks could be hazardous to their health in some other way?

a) Yes, li-ion batteries produce deadly fumes. Only while burning though. So avoid burning them to keep the chicks safe.
b) Are the chicks cyborgs with J1772 ports? If so, yes, the cable is hazardous - they can unplug EVSE from the car and plug into themselves, causing electrocution. Always keep the cable locked for safety.

The only danger I can think of is if you have an electrical load to keep the chicks warm overnight while you're charging the car and you're sharing an electrical circuit. The additional load would probably pop the circuit breaker or overheat the wiring if the breaker is not operating in spec.
