    new carnet web site...

Is it just me, or the new website does NOT show the current battery percentage anywhere?

Trip from Santa Monica to Big Bear Lake

There is one near the 105 and 405 - by Fresh and Easy (1700-C Rosecrans Avenue Manhattan Beach, CA 90266), but you are cutting it close, not sure how time sensitive your appointments are. There is also a Level 3 at Walgreens (18568 Ventura Boulevard, Tarzana, CA, 91356) even a 15 minute top-off...

Trip from Santa Monica to Big Bear Lake

So I finally got to try this trip to Big Bear. Left Santa Monica (near the airport) with 100% charge Friday night around 7pm, took the 10 West to downtown then the 60 East to the 215 North to the Inland Center Mall (500 Inland Center Dr, San Bernardino, CA, 92408). Arrived with 21% left. Charged...

    Resetting "Since Trip"

You have to hold the 0.0 button for a while (like 20 seconds), then press again to zero it.

    Battery management

From what I've read, the car is happiest between 20% and 80% - if possible keep the range between those two. As for the miles "guesstimate" on the display, it re-calculates that based how you drive. Let's say you drive 60 miles one day in the city only, then charge to 80%, it will show 82...

    Charging and Changing Amps

I believe this is in case you keep tripping the electrical circuit breaker, let's say your dryer is on the same circuit for example, car charging and dryer starts, and the breaker trips. You can use this to "dial down" the amps the car draws to solve this issue (if you have it).

Why can't you set the % of charge from the car screen?

I have an iPhone 6 - when I go to e-manager / departure time / setup cog upper right corner it only let's me change the percentage in 10% increments ONLY - anyone else has this issue?

    CA - plate/sticker delivery time?

For CA DMV it will give you an option to enter your number and they will call back (800-777-0133), I've called at 10:30am this morning and got a call back 2 hours later. Much better than having to wait on the line.

    What are "drive off" fees??

Drive-off and down payment can be (almost) as much or as little as you can negotiate. I've got quotes from 6 different dealers before I leased my e-Golf on Dec. 19. The numbers I received were as little as $1,000 "out-the-door" (meaning down and drive-off combined) to as high as $4,500 --- it's...

CCS chargers in the Los Angeles area

As far as I know NRG eVgo is in California, Georgia, Illinois, Maryland, Tennessee, Texas and Virginia. For Plugshare, under "Legend" in the upper right, click "More Options" -- this will bring up "Settings". Un-check everything but "SAE Combo DCFC". Nissan and ChaDeMo had a 4 year head...

CCS chargers in the Los Angeles area

I've signed up for their "Flex" plan, yes there was a 1 time $4.95 set-up fee, but there is no monthly charge if I don't use it. That $5 does give me a piece of mind, although I may only use it once in a while.

    Car-net and delayed charging

Here is an idea that I will try and test --- seems the issue is that the car goes to sleep after about 2 hours -- what if one created 4 different schedules to try and keep the car "awake" till the lower tiered electric rate times comes around. Here is what I'm thinking: Schedule 1 - plug the...

    Trip odometer?

I'm having the same issue. Per the manual the windshield wiper stalk is supposed to have a rocker switch on the end, and a reset button on the bottom, to control the trip functions too. But neither is present on my car.

CCS chargers in the Los Angeles area

NRG eVgo seems to be the main one around LA, I signed up for the Flex plan, so there is no monthly charge. Most of the time I'll charge at work or home, so I don't expect to use it a lot, but I'll have it just in case.

What is the plastic thing in the trunk?

See the pictures below, and try and follow these steps: 1. lift the trunk floor, remove the tire kit, remove the compressor (since it's the biggest piece). 2. "aim" the side of the compressor at a 45 degree angle into the opening towards the corner of the vehicle (see 1st picture below) 3. once...
