EVGo Quick/DC charging problems on eGolf

Do they say 50kw on the screen? If input voltage is 208v at 160A, that's only 33kw (which is about the max for the e-Golf anyway).

    Siemens VC30GRYU Versicharge install question

Yeah I have my Car-Net set for 5am departure as well and it seems to work well with this EVSE. It works without having to refresh the app to kickstart it or anything. Still haven't been able to get the charger's delay button to work. Easier to just leave it on 5am departure everyday.

    Siemens VC30GRYU Versicharge install question

Just had mine installed. The huge glowing ring is a real plus, I think. The lack of clear charging cues on the e-Golf is a little annoying. The green halo is reassuring However, I can confirm that the charger's built in delay does not work. In my experiments, the e-Golf seems to "go to sleep"...

Problem with included level 1 charger?

Well I set the amperage limit to 10 and it seems to have taken some charge overnight. Not sure what the deal is though.

Problem with included level 1 charger?

Hey guys. I've had the car for two weeks now but have been staying in a hotel waiting for my house. I've thus far only been able to charge on the go at level 2 stations in town and the occasional DC fast charge when time is short and charge is low. I'm in the house now and plugged the car in...

What's most efficient. Drive in D or drive in B?

Brake pedal =\= brake pad activation. Brake pedal = braking system. Braking system = regen + brake pads. If braking demand < regen deceleration, no pads are used. If braking demand > regen deceleration or speed < ~10mph, pads kick in. If you pay close attention, you can feel the difference...

EVGo combo fast charger (CCS and CHAdeMO)

Yeah I charged the other day and averaged about 35kw for the first 15 minutes. Still plenty fast.

EVGo combo fast charger (CCS and CHAdeMO)

Yeah, I didn't post any links, the forums auto linked some junk. That's the charger I am talking about, and I had the same thought. I don't think the e-Golf can accept 50kw. I believe the battery is only about 320 volts. Since the 50kw's probably comes from 500 volts and 100 amps...

Anyone else ever charge two cars at the same time on one of these ABB fast charge combo stations?

Shouldn't you be able to check the fault in carnet or in the MFD?

EVGo combo fast charger (CCS and CHAdeMO)

Question about this charger. This is the one that has two cables and the option on the touchscreen for which one you want. If I pull up to one of these and someone is using the CHAdeMO, can I still use with CCS without jacking up their session? A Leaf driver today told me she didnt start...

How to check TSB on my car?

I see. Well the air conditioning works flawlessly so I guess I can assume I've gotten at least a few updates? Haven't been abLE to try any delay charging or anything.

    Converting factory charger to L2

Nicely done but this seems like a TERRIBLE idea, haha.

NorCal e-Golf SEL Lease, should I do it?

Well I've had the car for a couple days now. Still can't charge at "home" (hotel) but have been getting on just fine. Yesterday I charged for an hour at Panera Bread for lunch, 45 minutes on L1 at Home Depot, and another 45 at Target ending up back home with more range then when I started, all...
