Awesome tip! Maybe we sit until the end of year sales. I just called about a 2019 egolfSE for 23kish and that price was only for lease. I want to buy it, no lease.
Here is the listing at https://www.cars.com/vehicledetail/detail/768907975/overview?aff=share_other .This is in Maryland and it would be shipped to California. Looks like I’d get the same tax credits too.
It seems most have purchased their egolf through dealerships, wether local or out of state. Has anyone bought their egolf online? I see $23-25k prices. Any input is appreciated. Thanks.
Good tip. I have a 60amp fuse in my 220 circuit currently. Would the golf “ignore” the extra amperage? Or will the extra amperage be bad in the long run?
Thank you for the awesome, in-depth reply. I’m heavily considering a 2019 egolf. The golf was on my list of ICE hatchbacks. Since there a charger at my house already for a Tesla (not mine), I started looking at EVs. I’ll just need to get a Tesla to j1772 adapter.

Anyone do this? I’m not sure it’s safe, but I thought I’d ask. I’m in the market for an egolf and my father-in-law has a Tesla wall charger. Perhaps getting a Tesla Tap is best. Sorry for the lame question, but thanks for reading. :)
